Fee structure - from April 2007
Fee
£50 per appointment (both initial and subsequent appointments)
What does this cover?
The fee covers the cost of consultation, advice and any treatment which you receive. Treatment could include acupuncture, tui na massage, cupping, moxibustion, or a combination of these as appropriate.
It does not cover the cost of any herbal medicines which may be prescribed for you.
What if I do not receive treatment during the appointment?
If treatment is not suitable for your particular condition during the appointment, you will receive advice and, if appropriate, a herbal medicine prescription. In such cases, the cost will be reduced to £40.00 per appointment, which again does not cover the cost of any prescribed herbal medicines.
What other costs may be involved?
The cost of any herbal medicines which may be prescribed will be discussed with you and will depend upon the particular medicines. A weekly supply of herbal medicine will typically cost around £10 - £25 per week.
How long is a course of treatment?
At the initial consultation Leo Dening will give you an estimate of the likely number of appointments involved, this depends very much of the nature of the condition. Please feel free to ask at any stage during the course of treatment whether this estimate has changed.
How can I pay?
Payment can be made in cash or by cheque, payable to Leo Dening.
Will I be charged if I cancel an appointment?
Please give as much notice as possible if you have to cancel an appointment. There is often high demand for appointments and it is helpful to be able to offer available spaces to other patients who may be waiting. For appointments cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice, there will be no charge. However for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, you will normally be charged the full appointment fee.
